I grew up in Singapore.

I followed the conventional education path and entered university to study law.

While in law school, I struggled with the meaning of life. I felt like I had everything, but why was I feeling disconnected and empty? This pushed me to read many autobiographies and philosophies. Some notable books I read were “Memories, Dreams, Reflections” by Carl Jung, and “My Life” by Isadora Duncan.

In these writings, I discovered art. I was so drawn to it - this idea of expressing yourself through a craft. So, I decided to try it. I wrote poems, picked up the guitar, and then, I sat down to make a sketch. And in that moment, I knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.

In 2022, I moved to Paris.

It was my first time living in a new city, and I was completely alone. Being alone was very difficult for me emotionally, but it also gave me space to discover who I am, and what kind of art I wanted to make.

These days, I spend my time drawing and painting. I’m constantly oscillating between studies to improve, and personal works to express myself. I love art so much, and I’m very grateful to be doing this every day.
